You can ask the court to reconsider your request for expungement or sealing. You will have to file a Motion for Reconsideration with the Circuit Clerk within 60 days of a denial from the judge. You might have to pay another filing fee unless you have a fee waiver.

Conversely, you can ask the appellate court to review the circuit court’s decision. To do that, you’ll have to file a Notice of Appeal with the Circuit Clerk within 30 days of a denial from the judge. (You can also file a Notice of Appeal within 30 days of a Motion for Reconsideration denial.) You’ll have to pay a filing fee unless you have a fee waiver.
